Steph Trinidad

I am a trauma-focused counselor, passionate about working with clients impacted by various traumas, to include athletes suffering from traumatic injuries. I am a trauma survivor from an August 2020 near-fatal BASE jumping wall strike at Mt. Blue Sky, and have an ultra running background.

I am certified in Brainspotting (Click HERE for more information)a trauma-focused methodology that assists in processing traumas. I gratefully experienced the healing effects of Brainspotting to assist with the PTSD and anxiety I endured from my accident. As a Brainspotting practitioner, I am eager to help address a wide range of issues negatively impacting the nervous system.

I grew up in various Southeast Asian countries, including Taiwan, South Korea, The Philippines, and Indonesia, and I am half-Filipina. I utilize a person-focused therapeutic style, and enjoy working with clients of varied ethnic and economic backgrounds.

I have varied bachelor's degrees in business, and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have been teaching yoga for 20 years, which is complementary to  counseling.

I hope to help empower clients to gain knowledge and acceptance of themselves. As clients learn to feel more grounded in their authentic selves and experiences, the traumas become memories of the past.

Outside of sessions, you will find me teaching yoga, on the trails with my dogs Boogie Woogie and Can You Diggit, or flying out of airplanes!
